Tilapia Farming

This is a great website I found about farming your own Tilapia. The Tilapia can have up to 1000 offspring!

"That's right!  Home Tilapia farming offers a solution to the ever-more-difficult problem of finding a fish at the store that is fresh, clean, affordable, and virtually organic.
With home-grown Tilapia, you will have intimate knowledge of its whereabouts from its birth to your dinner table!
Can you say that about that tasteless, overdone salmon fillet you had at that franchise restaurant last time? how about that tuna salad from a can! (I've always wondered how they get a tuna to fit in such a small can. Hmmm.)
The key to Tilapia farming at home is the "breeder colony".
Our breeder colonies consists of 6 pure breed orange Mossambica females and 1 pure breed Hornorum male. You can easily breed them in a home aquarium!
And in this website I'll show you how you can turn your backyard into a Tilapia farm!"

Underground Shelters

"Many people ask us how could one survive a major disaster, whether natural or man made or a combination thereof. One way nature protects its critters is getting them under ground. Ground hogs and ants are good examples. They have been around for a long time. So has nature.

A properly built and installed underground shelter is an excellent way to improve your chances for long term survival. The Survival Center has been building and installing under ground shelters since the late 1970’s. Over the years we have refined what really works well and not so well."

Aurora Fire Starter

The Aurora Fire Starter is a must have item when it comes to survivability, check this out!

Do it yourself: PBR Burner

What You Need:

2 Aluminum Cans (Beer or Pop Cans)
1 Piece of Sandpaper
1 Exacto-Knife Or Other sharp blade
1 Small piece of insulation (fiberglass)
1 Thumb Tack
1 Bottle of Rubbing Alcohol
1 Lighter or Matches

Step 1

Firstly you will want to drain the can and ensure its empty. You then
want to use the piece of sand paper you have to smooth out the can
and remove any paint that may be on the can. Then you want to measure
up about 1 to 1.5 inches from the base of the can and slice it off
as cleanly as possible.

You will want to repeat this process for the 2nd can as well.

Step 2

Now you'll want to grab some of that fiberglass you have and place a
piece of it into the base of one end of can you have cut off. Once you
have the fiberglass in you will want to fit the 2 pieces together. Do
your best to make sure it is even and tight all the way around as you
do not want any fuel to escape.

Step 3

Grab the thumb tack that you have and poke 5 holes into the center of the top
can. (Use the pattern for 5 from a dice) Then you will want to poke 16 evenly
spaced holes around the outer ring of the can.

The top of your can should look something like this:

Step 4

Using your rubbing alcohol carefully pour 3-5 teaspoons into the 5 center holes
of your burner. clean up any spills you may have made, and light it.

Congratulations you just built your first PBR Burner.
